GreenTREEco is very serious about our commitment to the environment. All of our adoption packages are comprised of 100% recycled materials, therefore keeping to our responsible and environmentally ethos.
All of our adoption packs are;
- FSC certified - 100% recycled papers (FSC is the Forest Stewardship Council and is the only certification system supported by environmental organisations worldwide)
- ECF (Elemental Chlorine Free) and TCF (Totally Chlorine Free) papers
- Printed in full colour using vegetable oil based ink
- Sealed with a water based protective eco-coating - a biodegradable alternative to laminating
- 100% Recyclable, biodegradable and compostable Envelopes, handmade by a small community in India from natural and sustainable materials.
By using recycled papers for our tree adoption packs, we will: -
Reduce landfill - using recycled paper diverts waste paper from entering landfills. Landfill sites emit the greenhouse gas Methane, which is 23 times more harmful to the environment compared to Carbon Dioxide.
It places less of a strain on global forest resources - paper recycling utilises the use of a valuable material, therefore reducing the quantity of virgin pulp required. Even though forests are progressively managed in a more sustainable method, there is an obligation to reduce wastage by using more recycled content.
GreenTREEco is an organisation actively saving wildlife reserves on a global scale. So with your help we can conserve the forests and its inhabitants for future generations.
